Origin — Switzerland (from White German Shepherd lines)

Coat — Dense, weatherproof double coat in a medium 'stock' coat or a long-coat variety; always solid white.

Recognised colours — Solid white only.

Gentle, friendly, lively and devoted — often calmer and more sensitive than the standard GSD. Loyal, watchful and good-natured.

Trainability — High — intelligent, eager to please and very trainable; responds well to gentle, positive methods.

Grooming — High. Brush 2–3 times weekly; heavy seasonal shedding. Never shave the double coat.

Good with — An excellent family companion and guardian with socialisation; good with children and generally sociable.

The double coat needs heat management in India — shade, water, AC and cool-hour exercise. The white coat reflects sun reasonably well.

Health notes — Hip/elbow dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy (DNA-test), bloat, allergies. Often a healthier, longer-lived line than show GSDs.
